Our History

Christi Feeter

Forty Oaks Farm was founded in 2007 by Christi Feeter, a passionate chef and lifetime gardener who grew up surrounded by adept home cooks. She remembers the dining room table stacked with loaves of organic whole wheat bread and making pies and jams from scratch with her grandmother, memories that instilled a sense of joy, camaraderie and confidence in the kitchen.

Christi expanded her culinary education in her twenties during a bike tour through Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, where distinctive cuisines deeply influenced her ideas about food. Since then, she has continued to share her passion with those around her friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors through home-cooked meals, gifts of food, tips and recipes.

At home in Santa Cruz, California, Christi begins dinner each evening by heading out to the garden to collect fresh herbs. Countless guests would marvel at the sensual beauty of her bounty, yet it seemed few actually knew what to do with them in the kitchen. Thus began Christi's mission to demystify the use of organic, artisanal ingredients for everyday home cooks.

As co-founder of the renowned bicycle suspension company RockShox, Inc., Christi is no stranger to entrepreneurship. Forty Oaks Farm debuted its 100% organic herb bouquets in the summer of 2007. Artisanal Molokai sea salts, Kids Kitchen bouquets and Pets Pantry products followed, with even more culinary pleasures to be shared soon.
